WELCOME!
Hi everyone and welcome to our web site. We have some great news and would like to announce that we are have now moved into our a new establishment at Bryn Phillips House, Water Street situated behind the new bus depot and train station in the heart of Pembroke Dock. For full location details check the map below.
Pembroke Boxing Club was formed in 1964 by Police Officer Mr. Bryn Phillips. Affiliated to WABA It has become a well established and much loved part of the community producing many champions and taking part in local community events. We have supported hundreds of children and young people who may otherwise be getting in to trouble, committing crime or vandalism. Until recently the dedicated team of volunteers and enthusiasts have been training in a dilapidated premises in Pembroke, with no access to basic facilities and extremely limited on space. Over the last couple of years we secured £90,000 in funding from the Army Community Covenant and Sports Wales, as well as raising £15,000 from fundraising activities. With these funds we have managed to secure a new premises on Water Street in Pembroke Dock. It was very dilapidated when we moved in so with the help of Tesco, Valero, and some members of the Town Council, including the Mayor, we have managed to get it looking much tidier, front and back. We have secured funding from the PCC Paint scheme for the frontage and we have all worked like crazy to get the inside looking great. The award winning Pembrokeshire Power Lifters have moved into one of the Studios and we will renovate the rear studio for West Wales first permanent Parkour Academy as soon as funding permits.
